Used this today for the first time. Hooked it to a 1-1/4 " sump pump hose to empty a 10,000 gal. swimming pool. It had a 5' lift and the onto flat ground. It took about 7 hours so it pumped at a rate of a little over 1400 gal. per hour. I have to say at this point this is a great little pump for its price range. To me it has paid for itself just with this one use and it still works fine so now i have a nice back up pump for my sump system or any other that should pop up.

The first problem was finding an adapter to fit standard hoses for the outlet. Once that was solved, using three separate adapters, the pump only ran a few days before seizing up. Seeing the stainless screws from the outside I figured the inside was built with the same quality. I was wrong. The impeller shaft, collar, washer, and nut were all rusted. Looks like a knock off product. I hope I can return it.

I use these to water my vegetable garden from the lake. They wear out after a couple of years (I'm sure through neglect on my part), but they'll develop a fair amount of pressure for a garden hose. But for drip systems or sprinklers, I'd recommend a bigger one.

Quality features with a reasonable price. I use it as a transfer pump for rain water so we don't have to carry buckets of water from the basement during winter.
