I was going to have my GLOCK 30’s slide milled, but decided to go with this instead. Although I’m not a certified gunsmith, I am mechanically skilled and handy. I just received a nice sight pusher so this was not going to be a problem. Although I was ready to provide some filing or stonework, it really wasn’t necessary. A little bit of oil in the dovetail works nicely. Getting the old plastic GLOCK sights out was not a problem either. When installing the supplemental sight posts in the base, ensure that the post ends with small center dot goes DOWN. The instructions refer to a Large End and a Small End, and we’re talking about thousandths of an inch difference, so just go by that. A little light oil in the holes, and the posts should press in nicely. I did use some black electrical tape under the mount and trimmed the excess with an exacto-knife to make it less likely that the adjustment posts would dig into the slide. That’s entirely up to you and may have made it harder to slide in. Just make sure that you’re ok with possibly having marks on the slide if you use this. There wasn’t any need to adjust the right-left tilt or up-down posts since the mount was tight anyway. Do ensure that you use blue locktight to hold the RMR screws tightly and locktight on the dovetail set-screws. I still need to sight it in, but for now it roughly aligns with my laser guide rod at 20 feet or so. Still need to get to my range with it when I can. Very happy so far. Wish Strike made a version for the dovetail on something like an HK or M&P but there’s other plates for those. Strike Industries’ plate is really nice because it holds both Trijicon and Fastfire/Vortex mount patterns and it’s steel. Leupold should be OK if you are diligent about the locktight.Read full review

Awesome rock solid mount . I bought a cheaper mount and the screws stripped out after 200 rounds . The G.U.M. mount is hard steel and much better quality than the other dovetail mounts out there . And its universal so I can mount any mini holographic optic I want to , so if I want to upgrade later I can .

Took this to great gunsmith for installation, glad I did. He was able to boresight in, took it out and after getting adjusted to using the red dot I was able to get shot on target. More practice is the answer. As for the mount, its solid as a rock.

Worked well and mounted well, NC Star VDFLIPGLO Flip, had lots of holes to mount any flip dot. Had issues with the mounts they provide since I dont a shaved slide.
