FLAP SAYS: DEAD BODIES are showing up in shallow graves onthe empty construction lot of vincent plum bail bonds. no one is sure who the killer is or why the victims have been offed, but whatis clear is that stephanies's name is on the killer list. this is one of the better books from janet in a LONG TIME. the plot is a little bit better, and you get your fill of both morelli and ranger plus some interference from dave the cook. i actually had a few laugh out loud moments, i don't recall having one from her books since book 3 or 4. the cliffhanger is a enough to make you scream.......uggh....
Smokin' Seventeen is light reading and very funny. Sometimes you laugh out loud. Even though it is in a series, you do not have to read all the books to enjoy only one. My daughters and I love this book and author.

As a former New Jersey resident, I find her Stephanie Plum books hysterically funny! I love the entire series. Always fast paced, funny and nicely naughty, it's a good break from more serious books! Whenever I want to laugh, I can pick up any of her books and go to practically any page,

Stephanie Plum believes Joe Morelli's eccentric grandmother has cursed her sex life and the result leads Stephanie and Ranger into some pretty hot scenes while Joe and Stephanie cool off. I felt a little unsatisfied and empty as if Evanovich doesn't know what direction to go into next. I think it's time Evanovich bring in Stephanies other potential love interest from her "in between the plums" series books (Wicked Appetite, etc.). The plot is typical with all the bells and whistles, however, it is unsatisfyingly short.
Well written, compelling, great characters
