My drill battery by the brand name I just couldn't find. So when I found the voltage (18VDC) and shape, I thought I would give it a try. Once I received it and gave it a try, it was a perfect match!!! I have now purchased a second battery and charger for backup.

I have an old 2000-ish Harbor Freight 18 volt DC drill whose battery died more than 10 years ago. This battery has the same contact points as the original, but I had to cut away part of the drill base for the battery to latch in place with a firm "click". It works and claims 1.3 Amp-hr. Ni-cads recharge from "dead", so it may last another 10 years.

seems to be the perfect answer to finding a replacement for the Mansfield brand dual drill though it will not charge using the Mansfield charger. A suitable charger is on my shopping list now!

I have two drills sold under different names, that use the same battery pack. so far works well. I don't use it very much but wanted a working drill.
