Your typical low cost Asian bass: cheap wiring, cheaper pickups, plastic nut all cut to the same string width, and tuner pegs that are subpar by anyone’s estimation. The plus’ though is that the neck is straight and fairly well made. But where this bass really shines is in he body, a lightweight, nice,y finished compact design made from quality alder wood. It produces a decent tone despite the horrible factory electronics. If you are into projects and you know what you are doing and willing to spend some money, by upgrading the pickups, tuning pegs and nut (the factory bridge is not too bad) you can have yourself a very nice sounding, playing bass. Not interested in spending money and time for upgrades, pay $150-200+ and just buy yourself a better bass that will carry you through the intermediate player period.Read full review
