This is the third Stainless Spyderco Police knife that I have purchased... and I keep coming back to it because it is a work-horse. I broke the tip off the first one using it to pry on something, replaced it with another one just like it and used it for over eight years daily at my shop until it disappeared... so this is number three !!! Although the handle has more holes for mounting the pocket clip, a different etching for the "Police" labeling on the blade and a different Stainless Steel type (VG-10 now), my hope is that this knife will last just as long as my two previous versions. The quality of the knife is excellent... not a cheap knife, but if you care for it, it should last for years.

Sleek, sharp just the right size. I've had one of these since 1999 And ended up loosing it because it slid out of my pocket while sitting in slacks. So they are slippery. Moral of story. Always use the clip. Terrific steel. Holds an edge. I'd call it a Speer point blade. You hardly know it's on you when clipped to pocket or belt.

Blade pivot was WAY TOO TIGHT so tight it squawked loudly and I had to clean fine metal filings out of the joint with a qtip. Contacted the mfg and was told its not unheard of, keep manipulating it.

I always wanted the plain edge model and I was familiar with the serrated model but in my opion are a little more difficult to sharpen at least for me . I work as a Paramedic and the stainless steel is a plus I also own there rescue knife as well
