Although the PSP market is a bit cluttered with a new PSP coming out every year, these are excellent, and well constructed portable devices. If you take the time to "fix" these devices, you can copy your entire nes and snes collection to them. These make for a really nice and portable console replacement. I recommend them to my friends.
I bought this PSP game system for my Grand Daughter age 5 to play has she rides in her parents cars. She has several games that are for children who read ..she reads very little but knows her alphabet....like here grand father almost . I bought her another one that she dropped and broke last year when she was only 4 years old . She missed it very much . But started working puzzles and other educational materials in the car . But it is hard to use a pencil or pen in a car and maybe not a very safe thing to be doing any way. The older she gets the more excited she appears to be about this second chancs PSP because she is learning more and more about how to use it in all the ways it can be used. They bought a hard case to keep it in so if it gets dropped from a foot or two off the ground in the case it still works .. Her parents are not real interested in her discovering she can get on the internet with it . I imagine once she figures out that the internet is in her hands they may take it away . But for now the internet is an unknown . Wally is her favorite game I believe . Soccer is a favorite also but the controls are hard for her to master. Gran Pa JohnRead full review
I am using this with a soft mod. It is running all my old games perfectly. Excellent device for "hackers". Runs custom firmware like a boss.

Researched all the handheld games out there...then decided that the 3000 PSP system would be the right one for me. I am 54 years old and this is my first PSP system. I absolutely love this system. It was very easy to learn how to use it. I bought one that came with three other games. They were all the atari and arcade games that were out there when I was younger. Because I'd played them before in the past, it was much easier to learn them on my PSP. I love the way they were offered on the games in the 'old' version and the 'new improved' versions. I reccommend this system to all those "older" gamers who need something to occupy their hands and minds......it really is lots of fun.
Althought i prefer the nintendo ds to the psp, the psp is a very good portable gaming station. it has very exciting games and fast gameplay. the graffics are exceptional for such a small machine. Also with the ablitiy to play umd movies makes it a perfect traveling entertainment system.
