The Onyx EZ car kit complete in the box was easy to install. Detailed instructions made it a no fail install. Two options of either using an existing aux input or installing an FMDA cable made the direct connect unbelievably easy. The original ID number was all I needed to complete my purchase with Sirius XM. This was a great purchase.

It is great in concept - love the two usb ports, the power connection to the radio head, and that it is the mounting bracket for the radio head. I like the red light that says there is power. Problem is, the connection to electricity is not consistent. I have to 'wiggle' it each time to get the red light to come on. This is annoying in the least, and a dangerous distraction at its worst. Is mine defective? Or do they all have this flaw?

I have always loved and wanted a xm radio. I have always rode in my cousins car or my father in laws and they have had xm radio and have said I'm gonna get me one of those!:) I finally found one of eBay that I really really liked and bought it. When it came in I was so excited to see that it wasn't going to be hard to install and start using:) My husband maybe took 5 secs to route the antenna and it didn't take long at all to set up the rest. Money was well worth spent on this item!!! I absolutely love it!!:)

Display is adequate, only issue is blue light even on lowest setting, still bright/distracting. I remedy with a thin like black curtain material I duck tape on top of unit, then if want to double check station or song artist, just pull her up n' do a quick check then it's curtains down again. Sound hooked in via AUX into dash unit is good, better/louder clearer than regular airwave radio. I got the extension cord(which fits, just be careful with those brass like fittings) seperately as reviewers said one provided not long enough to route to desired place outside of vehicle. Also the magnet pod(comes with kit) antenna is problematic in affixing/staying on vehicle, also blurps/dead zones in reception category. I use a Tram 7743 extension satellite antenna which works very well mounted on top of side step mirror on passenger side of my semi condo work truck. But even though I foolishly routed my first one through cracked open passenger window, which I always leave open a crack, and don't use passenger side door(like i used to say wet the wheel as safer and more discreet, not exiting traffic side)not to mess up routing of antenna wire. Then came truck wash, did windows up, forgot about wire routed/pinched so no longer worked. So 2nd Tram 7743 ran wire through door jam cushioning with duck tape so wouldn't risk pinching. So far works well, even amazingly through that long ass tunnel in Phx on the 10! I heard XM Sirius was planning newer stronger satellite launch in 2019? So hopefully that will make even better reception.Read full review

Nice satellite radio. It works very well with a home kit. Reception is very good. It should be noted however that only a vehicle kit is included, not the home kit or other formats. Speakers are also not included. Overall I am very happy with it even though I had to spend more money than expected for additional supplies. That should have been clearly stated in the main title and description not at the bottom of the ad.
