Perfect for NZ north island hunting . crisp and clear , lightning fast readout, looks to be very well made as one would expect from Sig Sauer. I seldom try shots over 200 . so I can't see any need for a mega powerful expensive unit. the extra distance this will cover will be used to calc time to next clearing, river bend etc. Very happy old Kiwi hunter...!

I live in the middle of a section. Cows ranging anywhere from 50 to 1000 yds from my deck. I unopened the box installed the battery , quickly read the instructions was excited to try my new toy. This will pick up a cow 1200#'s out to about 350 yds. Calves the size of deer to about 180 yds. It didnt seem to matter if i was facing the sun going down or looking away in the other direction. Barns , houses, reflective grain bins 778 yds. Nothing over this distance will register. Is mine defective???. Theres many testimonials saything yes, but i dont have another to compare. I may send this back to sig bit hunting season is here. My fault for waiting i know.

The Sig Sauer, Kilo850 Range Finder is very accurate and priced very reasonable. I testes it at various ranges and found it to be well within its specifications. It is also easy to use right out of the box. I really like the display format.. Great buy...excellent ebay seller.

This is the first range finder I've owned, I got it because I am learning to muzzleloader hunt and after 100 yards, bullet drop gets to be a big factor. This one has terrain compensation (AMR) so it automatically compensates on uphill or downhill shots. It is easy to use, one click awakens it and the next click of the button reads the range of whatever is in it's sight circle. Today I got a range on a beer can at 40 yards. I believe it's range is a bit limited and I haven't tested that yet on animals. I get trees across my neighbors field at 440 yards no problem. It is light weight and small enough for a coat pocket. Not water proof, and I will have to see if it fogs, although I expect it won't. My major use for it at the moment is in setting targets so i can know what distance I am sighted in at, rather than pace it off,. I was startled at how easy this is to use and it appears to do everything I need it to do.Read full review

It is lightweight, looks nice and good for the hands with rigid outer materials. Clear optics and easy to read but has difficulty reading the right distance with the background objects
