I know Shop Fox is a good brand and the color matches my 14" Jet bandsaw. This oscillating spindle makes my life a lot easier sanding curves and circles, etc. You do have to be careful not to leave it in one place too long. Keep the piece moving obviously. All in all, I highly recommend it if you want a good quality, under $500 sander. Haven't used one of those but I did look at them and Jet's cost over $600 I think and others are right up there so for the money, you can't beat Shop Fox W1831.

This is a great tool and I watched a lot of reviews on it before I purchased it. The only problem is that the inserts set a finger nail below the surface of the table and that is an easy fix with shim stock. For the price it is a good buy, you can spend an easy $500 on other ones with tilt tables but in the end this is a better deal. For any angles sanding I might do a piece of scrap wood is cheaper and there is plenty of disc that can be used.

Nice for finishing all small angels. Thought it might not be of good quality, but I was gladly mistake. I am switching all my shop tools to Shop Fox. I have found them much more stability than other brands. Mostly that the bases are cast steel not sample metal, very stable and no vibrations. You go Shop Fox.

Best price I found. This appears similar or the same spindle sander sold by several companies likely with same manufacturer. So far so good in my garage shop. Highly recommended.
