I was so excited to receive this real.... upon investigation of the pictures, everything seemed alright. The handle was severely cracked which was not pictured and the reel sound like gravel is being grinded when you crank it. I’m not impressed, especially for $150.

This reel is the closest Shimano has come to the classic Curado CU200 Bantam. It is primarily a fresh water reel due to its finely calibrated moving parts. It fits perfectly in the palm of an adults hand, casts smoothly and at great distance, has a strong brake system to handle the big fish, and just feels well built. I have several E series reels and love them all. The E7 is the fastest retrieve with a 7 to 1 ratio. Each rotation of the handle moves the line 7 inches. This speed is ideal for fishing artificial baits where you want to move the bait farther will little effort, such as a worm. The reel also comes in 5 to 1 and 3.5 to 1 ratios, for fishing slower moving artificial baits, like shallow diving baits or jerk baits the 5:1 ratio is ideal; with deep diving crank baits the 3.5:1 slow ratio is ideal. and finally, the reel should hold its value very well in the resale market over the years due to its quality, versatility and popularity.
