I've used these on several singers in the past. Nice open feel. One of the things I like the most is feedback control. You can really put the gain to these things. Had a row of girl singers about 2 feet back from the mic, and the pit behind them. Still pulled them up front nice and clean. The switch is not one of favorite features on any mic, unless its Beano. but this does have a little screw to lock it on - better than tape. Never had an issue with failure, but - they were used gently.
Purchased the E845 s Super Cardioid microphone from reviews online. I wanted something similar to Shure SM 58 s Cardioid microphone. The Sennheiser E 845 s has great punch for the vocalist. Perhaps better than Shure SM58 for a quick test before working equalization. I like both... but respect the quality of the Sennheiser in comparison . Can’t go wrong with either mic.

It has a very good quality, far, far better than most mics, I have encountered. Set my system on a good quality music, set the knobs centered, plugged in the mic, set on center and the quality is already great, no need to alter, unless tour voice is not a standard quality. So, this mic is really great, except it's heavier than any standard mic, by a bit.
