This is a great idea from the folks at Seiko, a vintage movement in a new package. I have always favored the Seiko 5's 7009A movement but the watch itself was getting old. Now you can have brand new everything in a stylish case and look. It doesn't get any better, Seiko calls it re-craft and they do it in several models, this one being the sporty version. I prefer wearing and using a "movement" watch rather than a quartz only because I love nostalgia and the fact that gears and springs are doing the work instead of a battery and a crystal. My watch keeps remarkably good time and has worked it's way into becoming my daily go to watch because in a word it "works". If your contemplating buying a Seiko Recraft watch please don't hesitate, you will enjoy it for many years to come.

Typical Seiko watch. It is an automatic using the 7S26 movt. and it seems robust. The band definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but can be replaced easily.

For a mechanical watch it is pretty accurate. The dial is easy to read and I like the design..

Bought this watch because I wanted to add a Seiko 5 automatic to my collection. I’m changing the band on mine mainly because the bracelets on these aren’t the best. Other than that definitely a beautiful watch to own.

I really appreciate the dial design. Everything is great for the price. The down side are: It looks smaller than the 38mm measurement. Also, the winding rotor on the back doesn't rotate freely as it should.
