Seagate internal hard disks don't consistently set industry standards for performance and/or reliability, they simply surpass them. In my experience with secondhand memory, things are hit or miss for the most part. On the other hand, any Seagate product which has showed up on my doorstep in the past has functioned without flaw in various capacities, and under no light workload! Unsurprisingly, Seagate boasts the single longest, (to my knowledge), warranty against defect which is 5 full years, whereas the leading competitors universally all stand at 3. This alone for me speaks volumes regarding the quality and "lastability" built into these devices. Built to performance standards which are common to all hard drives, Seagate simply offers those standards for longer than any other comparable drive, and in most cases, (I would imagine), longer than the average user today will go before performing a routine upgrade of their entire system. Overall, and in terms of feasibility, I would say it is by and large the most solid memory option available today for basic home computer use and/or backup.Read full review
This hard drive will not boot and has the same problem as the hard drive I replaced. Will not boot from floppy drive, Windows 98 will not boot from CD/RW so I may obtain a boot disk for the CD/RW drive. What does anybody expect for $22.00 an un-bootable Hard Drive. I guess the saying, when it's to good to be true, usualy it is not apply in this case...
The item arrived at a great time, and worked perfectly, also a great price on this item. I would happily do business again in the future.
well, I recommend it enough because it is a hard disk 100 percent feasible for any user or purchaser, had had this album before, but unfortunately not drop and break down
