My 26x2.00 weighed 1190 grams so it was even heavier than Schwalbe's claimed weight of 1100 grams. It has a lot of rolling resistance and feels dead compared to lighter and more supple tires. I bought it for my utility and hauling bike because I was tired of flats from goathead thorns and tumbleweeds common on San Diego bike paths. So far no flats so I'm glad I got it but I won't be getting any for my go fast bike.

This is my third set of Marathon Plus tires. Here is the truth. They are heavy. They have a "dead" feel. The reason to buy these tires is that they are durable and last. Flats are not eliminated, but reduced. Nothing will stop steel belt wires. I will continue to use these tires. For touring/commuting, they can not be beat.

I have an ebike. I’ve had several flats and that is bad 20 miles out. These tires are supreme! No flats and average rolling speed up 2 mile per hour. You need to get a pair!

I use this tire on my old mountain bike as a commuter.

Good traction and rolls very fast. Incline unpaved trails are no problems.
