The scan feature is a bit confusing to use - it's not a simple touch one button and scan. It requires you to launch an app on the connected computer. However, multiple pages scan into a single document unlike my Brother MFC-7840W so that's a great feature! My major criticism is the display. It is very poor as it does not feature a backlight so it is difficult seeing the display messages. Overall I highly recommend the machine for home office use. It is fast, prints with good quality, has the flat-top copier and just some other nice features. Best of all is the price! At that price point you usually can only get a crappy inkjet printer.
Great all-in-one printer with a nice sleek look. Downside is firmware updates that force you to use only Samsung branded toner cartridges, otherwise I would rate it excellent over good for a local/non-network printer. It has a nice user interface panel with screen for information readouts rather than just an error indicator light. Ability to scan documents with the feeder or flatbed is great. The paper tray could be considered on the small side, but I do not print to the extent that it would run out enough to annoy me, so I did not discount any points for this.
An excellent selection for users that need to print fax and scan but have limited space. This printer even has a feature that lets you copy both sides of an I.D. You can purchase compatible toner on ebay for $24.00 or so. I purchased the same model of this printer from a thrift store for $10.00. I liked it so much I purchased this one off eBay for $89.99 and I am glad I did. I will use it when I start selling on eBay full-time. one of the best features of this printer is the scan feature it scans all the pages in the document feederinto one continous file. I have another all- in one laser by a different manufacturer and it scans each page into seperate files so if you have a 30 page doucument you have to join them manually..but not with the samsung scx-4623f. It gets the job done quietly and fast. This printer is perfect for small ebay sellers who operate out of thier home.Read full review
Printer works well, but the only issue I had was the scanner was locked. I finally was able to unlock scanner and every feature is working properly now.
