For it's price, the phone isn't terrible, the battery life is okay, but my issue is the camera quality, and the storage space! The phone has 8 GB of memory, (Why? Even Apple doesn't offer anything below 16 GB anymore, and for a reason.) and the OS takes over half of that, leaving you with around 3 GB of space, give or take, because there's also a lot of crapplications/bloatware that comes stock with the phone! Also, the camera quality, if you're taking a photo in low-light conditions, FORGET IT! My iPod touch 5th generation did a lot better in low lighting with the same 5 MP camera, and it also took 1080p videos, unlike this phone, at 720p. And, the cellular range is also give/take. Lastly, the screen. 800x480? Really? My iPod 5 has a smaller screen, and it even had a higher-res screen. (1136x640) I also have issues with this specific model (tried on 2 phones of this model, same issue) where the touchscreen is slightly off, making me tap just above what I want to tap. And there's no built-in way to calibrate it. I get that it's a budget model, and it's speed wasn't bad, I must say. But, this is really why I tend to go towards Apple.Read full review

I've had my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime for almost a year. It was great the first 6 months, then the battery life dropped drastically. The phone itself functions wonderful. The Android version is not strong enough for the Pokemon Go app. Slow processor but for calls it works great. I bought an extra battery so that when Mine runs down, I can toss in another..The OEM battery that came with it went from an all day charge with maybe one phone call,to a six hour charge with no phone calls. Keep a portable power source on hand in the car if you need to leave the Car charger. All in all, for the price I paid it is so much better than the free Obama phone I have. Web Browsing is good, apps are good, sync my calendar from desk top to tablet, to phone easily. Camera is okay but not the best. The best part is I am not locked into a contract. i pay monthly if I want to continue service, and the phone is mine no matter what.Read full review

I bought this phone for my son a yr ago and it worked pretty well with the Pokemon Go app. Yes the battery drained on it but it also drains on other phones as well it's just not the on the Core Prime. When the phone was fairly new because I bought it used it ran really good on the web and as good reception in lots of places but I guess it all depends on your phone carrier. Cannot complain at all on this Samsung phone for it did an awesome job. It did get damage but it was because he sat or slept on it and ruined the pixels a bit and then he couldn't touch the number keypad on some number but otherwise a great phone to start with a Samsung on a budget
