If you are somewhat blind like I am, you will love this phone. It is probably the main reason I stick with this model. I have been buying this model Samsung since they first came out several years ago. I love the touchscreen. It keeps things simple. I tried several of the Android phones and just keep going back to this Samsung. The battery life could be a little longer but it charges in a very short period of time. The only other thing I struggle with is my face touching the screen when I am talking on the phone and accidentally ending my call. That's frustrating but after getting use to it, it does not happen so often. The speaker-phone aspect is clear and great for hands free time. All and all this is and has been a really great phone. The features are easy to get to and simple to operate. I love the QWERTY keyboard. It makes texting a real breeze. There are some features not worth using due to the battery running down too quickly, such as the MP3 player, but it is still nice to have and it works nicely and simply. GREAT PHONE!Read full review
I naturally love the Samsung brand, especially their cell phones. I find the Samsung Finesse easy to use, as well as fun and functional. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone with Metro Pcs. I have found other smart phones to have faster internet browsers, but I can't complain with how little I pay a month for service, plus you have to love not being held under a contract. The only minor setbacks you will run into with this phone is the lack of applications, and in all honesty, the browser is decent at best. All in all though this phone does everything I need it to do. On the positive side, the GPS is stellar, and convenient! The scrolling can be a little rough at times, but just be patient yet deliberate when you scroll and click. If you are like me and trying to get away from being like every other iPhone user, this is the ticket.Read full review
I really like the features this phone has. I can do everything I could on my previous phones and more. There are few sites that don't work in the browser. It has a powerful camera and a camcorder and is able to send video messages. There are multiple ways to input text. I don't believe there are any features I'm missing from this phone. However, there are several things that don't work all that well. The browser can be incredibly slow at times and it pretty much becomes nonresponsive until everything on the page finishes loading. Videos frequently cause the phone to become nonresponsive or reboot. The qwerty pad is difficult to use - it especially likes to turn on caps lock when you hit 'a' - but the numeric pad has its problems too. When scrolling in the e-mail client, it actually scrolls the opposite way you move your finger, and if your finger happens to be on a link when you stop, it opens the browser. Overall, this phone has just about everything I could ask for, but its many bugs make it frustrating to use. With a better firmware, I think this phone could earn an excellent rating, but as is, I'm giving it average.Read full review
Here's what I like about the samsung finesse: accurate gps navigation system, expandable memory up to 16gb, fully featured 2.0 mp camera, plays sideloaded mp4 vids w/h263 + h264 codecs and still slim enough to fit in my shirt pocket. My major dislikes: horrible OS, subpar html browser, terrible resolution when viewing images on the browser, etc. Let's face it, if you were looking for a high-end contender for metro piece-of-mess then forget it! Do like I do, use this as a backup then go online and find you a swanky Android phone (preferably one that has the Snapdragon processor as most areas are not running EVDO...yet); then find someone that can fully flash your CDMA phone to metro pcs. Join the hundreds probably thousands of customers that are already doing this...but you didn't hear THAT from me lol ;D !Read full review
The Samsung SCH R810 Finesse phone is a very powerful phone with lots of features. It has a camera, camcorder, Navigation system, Bluetooth and more. It also has a nice wide screen that allows you to enjoy your pictures and the QWERTY Keybord. At times it works great but there are times when after it's been sitting a while that it seems to freeze up and I have to take out the battery and put it back to get things going again. This is my first entry into the smart phone world and at times I enjoy it but there are times that I wish I had the simplicity of my older phone with the old fashioned key pad. When texting I recommend using a pointed object when typing so you don't touch the wrong keys. The screen is sensitive but after a while you get use to it!
