This product turns your tablet into a true desktop replacement. I have dual monitors and have been looking for a way to connect my tablet to them. I found this Docking Station online after doing a general search, I am really happy I did. I connected my MS Surface Pro3 , connected my monitors and then nothing happened...my tablet was the only display until I read the instructions that said download the latest drivers. After downloading the latest drivers BAM!! both my monitors worked plus the display on the tablet, I now have a Command Center with three Monitors. I also have an external keyboard and mouse connected via usb ports.

Currently I'm using it with 1 monitor connected through HDMI. And also using USB port for wireless set, and the USB charging ports. The good: High quality, the device and the features are exactly as described The bad: There is a display bug, at least in my device. At first I used a computer with 1920x1080 resolution, and it worked ok. Afterwards I connected to the docking station computer with 1600x900 resolution and the display glitched, and became wrong scaled. It looked squeezed from up and down (even when I connected the first computer again). I've tried several actions to fix it: downloading the latest drivers, turning on/off the docking station but nothing worked. Eventually, after a 1 day break I reconnected the computer and the display was good again. However, I think that connecting the lower resolution computer will cause the same issue again.Read full review

If you have a Surface, this is a must have for off the couch computing and iPad (If you get the right model.). I've owned a bunch of laptop docking stations, Dells, HP, Lenovo, Kensington, and a couple other Plugables. This one is by far the best I've used yet. About once a week I have to reboot it because my laptop gets stupid and won't see the NIC but other than that, it's rock solid and WU picks up all the driver updates. This is a quality piece of equipment USB3 or Thunderbolt is better than the bus connections by the MFG.s.

I usually move from my desk and was annoyed that I had to plug in the additional monitor, mouse, keyboard and external drives. now I just need to put a USB cable and I have everything even an Ethernet port. it is simply amazing and so simple. works with any laptop as long as it supports display link.
