I bought the 5# line to use for walleyes and jumbo perch on The Mississippi River since the ultra-fine diameter is useful for cutting the current. I put the entire spool on a small spinning reel and noticed one problem right away. It is impossible to cut with nail clippers and if you use scissors, they better be able to cut fine thread. I even tried using a pair that I have for tying jigs and it was tough with them. I have to use a knife to cut the line. The second thing, and this one is for all of us who work with our hands, if you have calluses or nicks and cuts or rough spots on your fingers, this stuff will stick to your fingers like a spider web and fray very easily whenever you try to tie a knot. For that reason alone, I won't buy any more. When I'm fishing, I like to be able to change lures and tie knots in a very short period of time. I don't need my line getting stuck and fraying on my working mans hands. Trust me, it's a real pain to handle. That said, I'll stick with mono and fluorocarbon.Read full review
