I am not using it with any PC gear. I needed a small fan to keep the fumes out of my face while soldering on my workbench. I mounted it in an old wooden Cognac box with a scrap 12 volt power supply, small speaker grill and a switch. Works great, very quiet and moves enough air without being annoying. The light is just added Kool.

The Fan works, and with the LED lights I can see that its working under the table where its mounted. However after a hour of running, the motor housing which is in the center, backside, and surrounded by the plastic housing of the fan, got hot and the fan is loose in the housing. Still runs, but I have no idea on if further heat damage will occur or its now done moving.

I plugged this fan into the wiring for my power supply, instead of the motherboard. (Both options are available with the wiring harness for the fan.) The fan runs just fine and the LEDs light up nicely.

LED lights are bright. Fan is quiet. The price is right. You can’t go wrong with this fan.

The cord for this for this is really short. The cord has a length of 1ft, doesn't really matter in my case because the mobo port for an extra fan is right next to it, but just make sure this 1ft cord is long enough for your desktop.
