I own an Expand-it tool with attachments but I had bent the battery contact on the power head so bad it would not make contact with the battery. Being abler to replace the power head without having to buy a complete new tool was a godsend. Price was right and even though it was used, it was in better shape that the one I had. I'm back in business. Buying only the power head only makes sense if you have everything else already. Trying to buy each piece individually makes no sense as you can buy the complete system for about $130 and no one is giving away the batteries & charger. For me being abvle to replace the power head for under $40 was a great deal!!

Power head is easy to switch out and has plenty of power to do the jobs that I use it for.I would highly recommend.

After I got tired of fixing my gas trimmer, I bought one of these new 3 years ago. It’s been working great. Lazy me got tired of switching out the attachments, so I ordered just the head unit. Now I have one dedicated for trimming and one with the edger. Only downside to this, is my tightener knob broke on my first one, so I used wing nuts. Not as effective as factory knob. Overall it’s great.

My power head wore out after heavy... well, very heavy use for over five or more years. This power head is the perfect solution for me. I use a 40v chain saw and so I have several batteries and the expandit attachments.

I had a 4-stroke gas power head for my ryobi one tiller, weed whacker, edger, and tree-trimmer. I already had a 40 volt Ryobi chainsaw, so I got this power head, which uses the same batteries. It drives the tiller just as well as the gas engine, but weighs less and makes much less noise, plus no messing around with gasoline and pulling ropes multiple times to start it. Even the smaller battery has a decent running time, but it's best with the big battery. The only negative is that it makes a slightly irritating mild whining noise when running, but it's not nearly as loud and as irritating as the gas engine's noises.
