I have 6 of these now. In theory they are great. Ruger lists they are easy to load, No they are not. They list they hold 8 rounds. However as you load them, with pliers or whatever you find to force them in, when you get 7 rounds in, its is becoming warped and flexing, because they are not stamped correctly. As these are stamped, not machined, and the stamping is not to the correct diameter there is not enough room to hold many of the ammo brands I tried. Brass, nickel, bird shot, .357, .38 spcl, nothing. By round number 8 the final space is so compressed, as are the other 7, if forces the moon clip to bend and flex. If you choose to go with them, the fix is easy, I just used my dremel with pointed grinding wheel to remove a few thousands from each of the holders. Then they clip in easily and actually hold 8 rounds as advertised.Read full review

What's Good? At the range your clips need to be loaded at home. It takes too long to load and unload the empty cartridges. Its also not a picnic. But whats good is being on the range and dropping in 8 rounds in my Ruger RedHawk in just a few seconds. THAT"S NICE! I can shoot with or without the clips but having at least 6 full moon clips is great.
