It is a good copy of the genuine U.S. made Fulton flashlight. Had I known it was made in China, I would have searched for genuine Vietnam War militaria, made in the U.S. I probably missed the small print that included " Made in China " so it is my fault, but Rothco is a great company with fair prices and I will continue to purchase my military gear from them. As far as my disappointment with Made in China is concerned, it is only a matter of principle that I will not purchase Chinese goods until they honestly agree within the ongoing trade talks,PART 3, which will probably never be solved given the cybersecurity infrastructure in China, focused on China stealing our intellectual property and unfair import/export balance of trade.

The housing is lightweight plastic but it has O-ring seals and a variety of color filters. I bought it for astronomy viewing but had to combine the yellow and red filters to bring the lumens down; it's bright! Haven't used one since my Army days in '72 and forgot where the spare bulb is stored. When you load the batts, remove the tension spring and the spare bulb cap will fall into your hand. Nice to have that! Happy so far...

Light worked great for about a week, then started to malfunction. First it would turn on when the switch was in the off position. Then, the light failed to come on at all - period. It's basically a paperweight.

This is a versatile flashlight. I bought it specifically to use for color therapy. I have Roscolux color filters and will cut them to fit the flash head. I note that it takes a strong hand to remove the coil spring and access the spare bulb. l
