As a fan of the original Roland tb-303, i was excited that Roland decided to release tb-03 in their boutique product line. The tb-03 is everytjing you would ask for.

Yeah, it is a digital re-creation of an analog device, but Roland really nailed this due to their ACB technology...Which effectively means that they are emulating not just the analog sound but the variations of the analog sound, even as it plays the same exact notes over and over again...it doesn’t do it exactly the same each time… Just like the analog device would do... analog devices are affected by heat, moisture, etc. and thus that affects their sound in subtle ways with each play back even of the same notes in a loop....This is where Roland ACB technology is (much) more exacting then a basic sample type digital recreation. Blind side by side comparison‘s have consistently proven that this device is quite literally indistinguishable from a “real” analog TB-303... Which makes complete sense since Roland created the original... and knew that it’s digital re-creation had to live up to the expectation of a side-by-side comparison. This device is easily worth several times its original retail price… And that still would be several thousand dollars less than the original. make no mistake this will increase in value over the next 10 years… Especially once it is discontinued.Read full review
