For being a Chinese knockoff, it's not bad. With a little work this can be a great bipod. When you get it you need to put thread locker on all the screws. There is also a trick to add two "O" Rings to the knob on the bottom. This will act as a cushion, and take up some slack in it. I bedded the metal keepers to the aluminum housing with some JB Weld SteelStik. Look up "Update eBay Atlas Bipod and Fixes" on YouTube. This will show you what to do to your bipod. Since this are knockoff's, the quality will vary. You might get a tight one, then the next will be loose. That's a risk you take. I actually took 2 of them and made 1 really good one. Overall, I do recommend this bipod, but you will have to do a little work to it.

Keep in mind you are buying a Chinese clone less than 10% of the American version so it's going to have issues. My biggest complaint is when the legs are extended, the locking ball bearings dont have nearly enough pressure to keep it locked at that length. Set your gun down too hard and it drops all the way in. Pretty dumb, but at least still usable at the 6.5" length. But yeah, relatively useless if you bout it for the extending legs. If you want a budget bipod, pick up the UTG ones. They are of better quality and tend to work. Harris is the way to go for a more serious rifle, and this knock off would never make it on anything I own besides a 22 at the shooting range or a bb-gun. But even then, I prefer the UTG for the price.

These "clone" bipods are some of the best I have seen. I used original Atlas bipods for years in the military and broke more than my share of them. These current models of the old Atlas are excellent representations of the original and have served me well on all of my AR based weapons. I have used virtually every type of bipod out there and highly recommend these sharp little units.

For what you'll pay, this bipod is an excellent value. It’s a Chinese clone of the Atlas and while nowhere near the quality of the $300 Atlas, there are a few YouTube videos that detail small mods you can make to give similar performance and satisfy the needs of most of us shooters. I’m using mine on a Ruger Precision Rifle in .308 and it’s held up well after approximately 200 rounds. For me, the main advantage of this bipod over similarly priced ones such as Caldwell is the ability to lock the legs forward thus giving a lower position to the barrel.

The bipod itself is very well constructed. It does everything it's supposed to do, like adjust in height which is easy to do with it's design, and swivel. The legs seem to be very stout, the button that pops out to stop the legs was a little stiff but I'm sure that it will break in. The only complaint I have is the swivel function that allows you to sweep your weapon from side to side. There's a knurled nut on the bottom that adjusts the tension of the rotation, even after tightening it down the bipod wants to swivel with the legs folded up against you weapon. Not a big deal but while carrying my weapon the bipod wants to swing out of alignment with your barrel and hang sideways. Maybe a rubber washer or O-ring between the main body and the leg block would help. Still, not a bad investment Read full review
