The Safariland J-K2C Comp II is a great speedloader. It works well with my S&W Model 64 K Frame and Pachmayr grips. The speedloader holds the rounds securely, it's easy to load the speedloader, and easy to release the rounds into the cylinder.

I duty carry a revolver with two speed loaders (clips). For all of you firearms instructors who happen to be ex-military or law enforcement, a clip is something non-integral that holds ammo. A magazine is the integral ammo storage compartment or component inside a firearm. This is a fact. These are the best for revolvers. Load, hold & flip onto a hard surface; then push the center button down and twist to click the rounds in; release occurs when the clip is pushed into the cylinder's open chambers from the side of the clip. The center mechanism is the release. These are the fastest to unload, but loading can be a challenge to a beginner.

Speed loaders....light weight, durable polymer. No rust or scratches. They WORK well. The competitors HKS and a couple of “speed strip” like speed loaders work ....OKAY.....But certainly they don’t work as well as the Safariland . The Safariland you simply push the rounds into the cylinder ...and it releases them. The competitors speed loaders require additional manipulation of the loader in order to release the ammunition.......under stress this is compounded difficulty. Keep it simple...keep it reliable...keep it Safariland

I prefer this design to the HKS alternative, but I admit this is a personal preference and many might disagree. I like it because it is VERY UNLIKELY to release loose cartridges into my pocket if it's rattling around all day. Has an HKS ever done that? Not to me, but it seems like a possibility. Also, I like the Safariland's simple "push it in" release mechanism; under stress, eliminating even a tiny step (such as the HKS's "turn the knob" step) seems like a good thing. But they are both great products, and there is a reason there aren't any serious competitors to these two leaders.

The speed loader is made ofbhigh quality, solid lock up, and easy loading into the cylinder. I prefer these to the HKS Speed loaders, because the Safariland speed loaders are pressure release not twist release. Less in fine motor movement involved. Too bad they do not offer these for J frames. Highly recommend!!
