I'm sure you've heard the old adage: the book was better than the movie. Same applies here; the book explains a lot of things that occurred in the background while running for your life. The author took great pains to keep the book on track with the game, and it shows, with very few, if any real inaccuracies. It also helps you to understand why Jill kept having to backtrack through cleared areas (why oh why didn't they just have a WalMart in Raccoon City?), and why some NPC characters were just not to be trusted. It also goes into greater depth behind the whole Umbrella conspiracy, bringing to light just how bad things were under the city in the labs before the outbreak. Much like the other books, it also gives a greater insight into who these people are, and why they do the things they do, when common sense would have just said run like heck outta there. All in all, a good, quick read for fans of the game series, highly recommended from one to fan to any others with the chance to pick this title (or any others in the series) up.Read full review
