I've bought cells from three companies. Renogy's have been the best quality. Even the wire they use is of heavier gage than what other companies use. That minimizes voltage loss, so its important. Their packaging is the best. Both cells arrived with no damage. Another company packs their so badly that it arrived shattered to bits and then it took me two weeks to get my money back. I wish I could have afforded to just buy all three from Renogy from the git go. Call me a satisfied customer. I use mine on the roof of my work van to charge a couple deep cycle batteries. I use that to make 110v via a pure sine inverter. Perfect to run tools and even a fridge when I go camping. During power outtages, that set up will be very handy as I won't have to run a generator. Excellent company to deal with!Read full review

I ordered this panel and it didn't work, when I called Renogy they informed me I had to run it through their warranty dept. to get a replacement for a brand new panel and only after I proved to them it was faulty. After a few hours of testing and several phone calls they finally agreed the panel was faulty and sent me a replacement after I packaged up the 1st panel and drove it to UPS and shipped. Major PIA and I think my future purchases will be with a new solar supplier.

I have purchased 4 of these now. They are powering a 1500 watt inverter in my 30 ft travel trailer. I use an MPPT converter and it powers all of my lights (LED) a bluetooth stereo with subwoofer, My Keurig coffee maker, microwave and a 22 inch DVD-TV with Directv. The only thing I can't use with my solar system is the air conditioner but I have a 4000 watt generator if I get to hot. My property has no power or water but that is exactly why I bought it. It took a little time to add each panel and battery but now it is perfect. I have six 6 volt golf cart batteries and the total cost was under $1500.

I have had 2 Renogy 100 W panels outside for 3 years and they are holding up without cosmetic changes. I have older Renogy panels in 20 W and 40 W that are about 6 years old. Both types came without diodes installed. I added Schottky diodes to them in the junction boxes. The oldest 20 W is yellowing where it used to be white between the cells. This will cause heating of the panel if it gets too dark and reduce the voltage. The 40 W is showing cosmetic fracture lines in the sealant between the cells and the glass, but it is not darkening. I don't expect this to hurt output. 4 other 20 W Renogy panels are not discolored. The newest 100 W panel is one month old and produces 6.3 A when shorted, which is better than the specs indicate, and I live in the Chicago suburbs, where the sky is never truly clear, even when blue. I do not know if the specs are power before the diodes or after. There are 2 diodes in the junction box.Read full review

I wanted small easy to handle panels with reasonable power output. My installation is a small one and needed to be setup in a portable configuration with a ground mount that I could easily move if needed. So smaller panels were just what I was looking for. To get the voltage I needed for longer cable runs I simply connected these panels in pairs that were in series(series connection adds the voltages together), and then connected them in parallel(parallel adds the amps together). This allowed me to build it out as a 24 volt system within the specification of my equipment. The quality seems good with these panels and so far in my testing with them I am getting what I expected from them. I would recommend the Renogy panels for RV, small cabin, or portable solutions. If your looking for a larger installation you would likely be better looking at the larger panels. Overall I am very happy so far and will likely continue to add more of these to my current installation. The nice part here is that you can buy just one panel at a time as your budget or project needs it, or you can buy them in multiples. It is very flexible and easily handled by UPS or Fedex to deliver them. Overall a very flexible option. I am glad I went this route for the project I am presently working on.Read full review
