I purchased this amplifier as a monitor system for my home recording studio. It replaced my Peavey, 150 watt (75 per side), 4 ohm, 4 channel P.A. that had gone bad after many years. So the specs on it were supposedly identical to the Pyle. Wow was I disappointed! The Pyle was woefully under powered. I would rate it at around 25 watts collectively. About a 3rd of the listed rating. Another issue with this unit (mine anyway) is that it cuts out when you push it. When I take the volume to 80% or more, it constantly cuts the signal. Or when I raise the input gain on my AudioBox sound card (set up as the in for the Pyle) it also cuts out at very low levels. In short, the Pyle peaks at very low levels of both the out and in signals. I cannot imagine that this unit would ever be useful in any situation. Serves me right for trying to save a few dollars. But this unit isn't even worth the money that they're asking for it. Read full review

For certain application it is fine. Not really powerful enough for all uses. Pushes my 4 speakers for TV ok. I could do without the bright light meters on front. Distracting near the TV screen.

I read some reviews before my purchase. I think many people who wrote them were not technically proficient, as most were totally positive. A few were technically honest: this thing IS a piece of junk. It works just fine although the blue LEDs are really incredibly bright as everyone notes. My only complaint is that the stated power of 2 channels of 75 watts each is a gross exaggeration. I am old enough to remember when stated power was standardized at "RMS power for both channels into 8 ohms at >.1% distortion" whereas even the manual for this junk states the power is 'peak power for one channel at 10% distortion' = who on earth would listen to 10% distortion?
This amp was easy to install. Sounds clear and really fit what I needed not really a huge amp with a lot of power but enough for what I needed

I bought this amplifier to boost audio from Mp3 players and YouTube videos in our church's youth classroom. It works extremely well for both purposes. We get plenty of amplification without any distortion. The separate bass and treble controls are a huge bonus. My only negative comment would be the brightness of the blue lights could be distracting depending on where you place the amp. It's a perfect solution for our application. It has more power than we need and has a small footprint.
