I purchased 2 of these for home emergency use in 2016 during Hurricane Matthew. I did everything stated for break-in. I split the load (4500 - 5000 watts max and 40 amps max) between both generators so as not to overload the capacity. These are rated for 7000 running watts and 58 amps per generator. They rand for 10 days 18 hours a day +/- .They both worked well and I was happy. I placed them both in storage and fallowed the instructions for storage and changed the oil, added fuel stabilizer... I ran them both every 3 months as required. Along comes Hurricane Florence. I get the generators out and pre-check them to be ready for a power outage. They both ran but only 1 put out power. I was concerned the other would break down too. Fortunately we never lost power and it was not needed. After the storm passed I removed the cover and found only a 6.5 KW winding (see picture). This is NOT as stated when purchased. I further diagnosed the problem. I found the fuses to be good, Brushes were good and had 5.6v output, Rotor/Stator was bad. I can not find replacement parts to fix the generator after searching several sites online. Long story short I got what I paid for, a cheap quality generator for a cheap price.Read full review
