This particular oil pump meets original equipment standards. It is relatively easy to install once the clutch has been removed. Clutch removal require the purchase of an expensive special tool. However using flat bar stock and large diameter nails, a workable tool can be made. Clear directions can be found on the internet. The oil pump kit includes the clutch spring.

The Oil Pump installed and worked just fine. As far as the “Poor Quality “ check it’s no fault of the company that made the part, but rather the company that makes the Poulan chainsaw. It’s an OEM “plastic “ part. The Saw is very cheaply made. Hardly homeowner quality!
