Pilot Fountain Pen with Ergo Grip is a excellent writing pen in general. I especially like the extra fine nib for laying a even smooth lines from a bottle Pelikan blue-black ink. On standard yellow note pad, the nib does not feel too scratchy. The only drawback to this pen is that it can get tiring of writing because it feels too small for big hands. Also since the housing does not seal very well, the ink tends to evaporate upon sitting for a long time. I still like it because it feels like a precision writing instrument when properly used. It writes better than many of the 100 bucks fountain pens. I have pull the nib off, cleaned it, and adjusted the rotation angle to my preference. Because it was so cheap I wasn't intimidated in damaging it. Pilot's blue-black is a little thin for my taste, so I refilled the Pilot cartridge with Pelikan's blue-black.Read full review

This is a neat little pen. One of the thinnest nibs I've ever tried, but retains a good ink flow and is not overly scratchy. The materials are cheap but solid, and the design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It fits a Pilot converter just fine. Haven't tried to use is as an eyedropper, but the design looks like it would work just fine in that configuration as well.

I love the clear fountain pens for two reasons: I can see when the ink is getting low, and, I can see if I am about to open the pen to a leaky mess for any reason, thus preventing the mess in the first place on things I didn't want ink to stain. This pen was a good buy and the nib is as fine a line as any I've ever seen. Good job. BTW, there isn't a single word of English on the package, but if you are familiar with fountain pens, you don't need it. Otherwise, I might try a different one for the first time out of the gate.

You can't beat the low-end Pilot pens for quality. They write as well as pens costing ten times as much (or more!), and this one has an ergonomic design that actually makes writing easier. I think the design is pretty cool, too. If I had to limit myself to using only one pen, this would definitely be one of the candidates (out of a couple of hundred).

For how much this is worth, its a great fountain pen to use for small detail drawings or for small writing!
