Our dog kept 'marking' on our sectional, and we decided to go with a product that was similar to our wireless fence system outside (petsafe pif-300). Typically, there's a good working radius of about 5-6 feet within viewing distance of the hub. When the collar is too close, it beeps, but I also found that it shocks or 'static corrects' right away, instead of first warning with beeps, and then correcting. Because of this, I just removed the prongs since my dog is used to the warning beeps from the outdoor unit. The beeping is effective enough to discourage from moving any closer. I believe if any dog is used to the outdoor system, this will be a very quick learning process. SO it does work great, but be aware that it will shock as soon as the collar reaches the signal from the hub.

It is limited in effectiveness. I had to buy a car collar and replace the one it came with. The collar was too wide and didn't allow the cat free movement of her head. The contact points were not long enough to reach her neck without strangling her. I had parts from old dog collars that I was able to change the points for longer ones. So after all the adjustments, it is keeping her away from the doggy door. I think the manufacturer should advertise this for dogs only and provide a smaller collar and longer points for cats.

This worked great! We have a 6 month old Aussie Doodle who kept jumping our indoor gate. I set this at the base of the gate and in 1 day, trained her to stay in her area while we were at work. You can set the range for the device easily. I used a 2 ft range and it was perfect! The collar is adjustable and is easy to put on or take off.

I purchased this to keep my dog from attacking my sugar glider cage. It came quicker than I expected and in perfect working order. It worked immediately without any extra effort to train my dog. I have not seen where he has been shocked but he does stay away from the cage. Instead of barking, jumping and trying to climb the cage, he just sits back and gazes forlornly. Life saver!

The manufacturer's description says the collar goes as small as 5 inches. When I adjusted the collar, the smallest it would go was 7.5 inches. Much too large for my pet. I can't say whether or not it is of good quality, good value, nor recommend it because I was unable to use it
