I was looking for a small and portable flashlight that used AA batteries. and was very pleased with the flashlight, it is very small and very powerful, and puts out a very strong beam that really reaches out, and it also has a lower power option for working up close (because quite frankly it is too powerful for up close work) so the lower power mode is perfect alternate. Pelican is a very good company which stands behind it's products. i own many of there flashlights and whenever i have had a problem with one they have replaced it with a new one for a nominal shipping fee. There are not many US companies that will do that, so i am very pleased with there customer service department. The flashlight itself is sturdy and well built and you can see the quality that went into it's construction. You wil not regert buying this flashlight. I would recommend this flashlight to anyone looking for a small yet powerful flashlight. There is no adjustment on the beam itself, as is typcal of other models but the flashlight does not seem to need it, the beam comes to a nice compact cone with no variation in the intensity and will easily light up your intended target at a distance. I perferred this model over other models which use the lithium ion batteries. i do own another higher priced flashlight which uses lithium ion batteries however did not see a big difference in the beam intensities, and certainly did not justify the difference in battery cost. lithium ion batteries typically run 6 to 7 dollars a pair, compared to AA batteries which, dependant on how you buy them, run about 25 cents apiece. Given that the run time is about the same for both flashlights, the 2360 is a much more economical option, with very little, if any loss of beam strength. the higer priced flashlight with litium ion batteries only has an actual run time of about 1 hour and 20 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, and not as long as the manufacturer claims. Simply stated, you will not be dissappointed with this product.Read full review
This is the brightest 2 AA flashlight I've ever come across. Great quality and build. It does get rather hot during extended use but it's to be expected considering how bright it is. 2 hour battery life but hey, their AA's. You can find them anywhere. Over all I'm very happy with this Pelican flashlight.

Pelican has always been a good brand to me. This light is no exception- very bright and seems durable. One of the few lights where the low power setting is actually bright enough for me to want to use it sometimes.
