  • Works very well, easy to install

Arrived to Canada from the Czech Republic 2 weeks after ordering, very fast for international shipping. No issues with customs or duty fees. Packed in a bubble wrap envelope, arrived safe. Included very good instructions, would be nice if it included the 2 pieces of heat shrink tubing that is recommended, but I had some on hand. Installation was easy, plug and play, make sure you line up the right colored wires as specified. Works great, doesn't break the Bosch shift sensing, shifting is just as smooth as before installation. Occasionally it will read the wrong speed (10-15kmph, when I was traveling 30+), but will recover on it's own after speeding up or slowing down or turning the chip on/off with the walk button. Chip defaults to off when you turn the power off on the display, switching the chip on or off is very easy with just a press of the walk button. The assist meter on the display with flash to full power every 5 or so seconds to indicate that the chip is active. Range, trip, and odometer displays are accurate. I'm very happy with this chip and recommend it.

  • Not quite there!

Good product, Peartune tell you about the problem of actual speed reading whilst using the device. It has switched off completely, this has happened once so far, but was a simple switch off / switch on fix. If Peartune could sort this problem then it'd be just great !!!! The instructions are not, in my view clear....the device when switched on will allow unlimited speed in each of the four assist settings, as long as you have the leg power to pedal, ie on the lowest setting I manage to get to about 20 mph on a flat run, but on a hill it is slower as the motor cannot produce the power, but this is simply remedied by upping the assist. Downhill it will, again in the lowest setting, just keep going!!!!! With full assist it goes as fast as you can pedal, I have changed the main drive sprocket from 16 t to 20t , so now I can pedal at about 37mph and it just delivers, on a flat run, of course, I am about to put a second battery in parallel , same 36 v 10ah bottle type battery mounted behind the seat hanging from the seat post, this will get me to about 100 miles distance mainly using the lowest assist with the odd boost for hills, I am using a 30 amp 40 volt Schottky diode to link the 2 batteries to the motor....should be great !!!
