Although I found a lot of "don't buy it" reviews from tech websites, I bought it, and don't think it was a bad selection. Phone materials are nice, texture make it easy to hold (everybody thinks that it has an extra cover). Rear part assembly is ok, but it can be better. Screen was a surprise. An unusual 4:3 gives a good view, with nice graphics definition. Android 2.3.4 works fine, bot in some moments it freezes a bit. same happens with my Lenovo A107 (same Android version), but are the less. Changing screens is easy, with a soft finger movement, sensitivity is ok. Have a lot of Pantech own nice looking widgets. Bluetooth and wifi works fine, I like to synchronize my laptop, android tv, tablet and phone using AnySend and Skifta, all freeware. Camera is correct. At work i need to take some pictures. Although focus is a little bit slow, it gives nice quality pictures, even zooming them. Unfortunately it does not have a flash. Also doesn´t have an FM radio, not critical if you can supply with wifi or internet connection. Speaker sound is decent, loud and clear for me. Phone calling quality is good in both ways, so I dont understand those reviewers that worote about awful phone quality and bad sound. For me works fine. Even the music player have an equalizer with good results using a good pair of headphones. Bought also a hard cover with rubberized texture. It gives more confort while having it on hand and talking. In summary, a good phone for the price, with nice functions. I consider that tech reviewers are not consistents with this phone. Notice that is not a sophisticated IPhone, but for me it makes all the same things. Even, it can be a replacement for my tablet. Some extras: it uses a microSIM card (just like IPhone!), power button on top (seems ok, not so big and correct, why so many critics about it?), lights on the lower buttons is not so high. Easy internet browsing, fast response. Can replace a tablet. Unfortunately does not have a front camera for skype videoconference (audio conference and rear camera works really good here!).Read full review
Ok. So I will start off by saying, for the price, This is a good little beginner phone. I would say it is a low/mid range android device. First, The form factor. I do love that it has a unique 4" screen with a 4:3 screen ratio. It provides great space for reading, typing is bliss on this device, keyboard is very spacious, and has a great screen space for app content. The screen is very responsive. It has a very nice plastic/rubber feel to it. It almost feels as if you don't need a case for it. It has a nice small lip that curves up over the side of the screen to protect if it is dropped face down. It is also suppose to be made of crack and chip proof materials. It has 4 physical android buttons on the bottom. It has I believe a 600x800 Pixel resolution screen, which for this price is pretty good. Text is sharp and clear. Shows details very well. The screen is glass, not plastic but it isn't Gorilla Glass. So it will scratch. Most devices at this price will only fit a 320x480 resolution which provides a bit of a grainy look. The color saturation could be better. Colors are bright and Colorful, but appear a bit washed out compared to other devices in price range. Its not feather light, but not heavy either. It has a nice weight feel to it. The battery is amazing. I can squeeze about 6 hours out of it, which made not seem a lot, but I have a very heavy texter/internet user. With light usage lasting well to 12 hours if not more. Most phones in the past had trouble lasting me 4 hours. Calls are very clear and I've never experienced a drop call yet.Read full review
The product offered what I needed and wanted in a simple smart phone.I did have to add a memory SD card for all the apps and camera to work. Luckily it wasn't that expensive.I still spent less than $100 between the phone, case and 4GB micro SD Card. I had no issues connecting to cell service. Once I received the Consumer Cellular microcard and placed in the phone, I had phone and text service right away.
I rate this phone 4.5 stars overall. Cons: 1)a little large, so some people may be turned off by the size. I don't have big hands myself and I am fine with the phone. 2)some people won't like the initial screen where you h ave to drag and drop to go to the home menu or other areas of the phone. It cannot be edited or bypassed. This is just a minor inconvenience and for me it is not a problem. Pros: 1)Very nice screen 2)Fairly easy to use if you are a little patient and look at the manual for the not common features 3)Battery life is not as bad as you think for a smart phone 4)Tons and tons of features 5)Can customize it easily 6)For my first Android phone, it was easy to get comfortable with. Overall: I had an Iphone 3GS that I gave to my daughter as a gift and then I bought this phone to replace my Iphone. A used Iphone 3GS is about 165 on ebay while this NEW phone was about 40 dollars less. It has more features than my Iphone and I have no problem with the Android operating system. This phone for me is well worth the money and I am happy with it.Read full review
It's OK. Does the job. Loud playback. Used with T-Mobile, no problem. Video plays of "The Alex Jones Show", work fine, as does Youtube. I play mostly MP3's. Good battery life. Easy to use, and easy to learn how to use. For under $100. You can't go wrong. Be careful ordering cases for this, because of it odd size. Nice sized screen. Standard mini usb is a +....
