It is an efficient quiet product and an easy replacement installation if you remove and install the silver metal section containing the electric box and fan connection before you insert fan box into the 11 inch by 11 inch hole cut into the drywall. Connect the electric and exhaust tube in and to this box. Then frame three sides of the hole with 2 by 4's above the drywall. Then slide in the fan box and reconnect it to the silver metal section, remembering to also connect the electric supply clip. Tie the fan box to the ceiling with six long screws which run through the drywall into the 2 by 4's. Mount the grill. Turn on the fan and be amazed at how silently it runs. It took me longer to remove the old one than to install the new once I realized it could all be done from below.

I have installed hundreds of the Panasonic WhisperCeiling fans and my customers love them. They are real quite, heavy duty, easy to work on, moves air really well, and comes with different features. The Panasonic heat/light/fan version is a great product also because it eliminates the need for a wall heater. I only install Panasonic fans because I dislike call backs to remove or repair cheap bath fans. The price difference is not that much for a far superior fan.

This is a very nice exhaust fan and a very quiet one. The only thing I can compare this to the other Panasonic 11VF5 which comes in with the reducer from 4 inches to 3 inches and at the same time he 11VF5 has 2 CMF setting compare to this. But don't get me wrong, this is an excellent unit. Love it.

I had two of the fans in my old house and absolutely loved how quiet they were moved a decent amount of air but were so quiet. There was no doubt that this was the fan I would buy for my next house highly recommend

Great fan! I installed it as a replacement for my basement bathroom fan. I had to think outside the box on how to secure it up in the ceiling, wasn't able to utilize the metal hanger brackets that were supplied but instead used a wood frame with the help of some brackets normally used in framing of a house. Glad I upgraded, when upstairs above area of downstairs bathroom, we don't even know the fan is on. Old fan sounded like it was coming through the floor.
