I bought my daughter a Rossi revolver that had been used by the Brazilian Police a few years back, but did not like the grips. They were bulky, and did not fit her hand well. I decided to give her revolver a face lift, so I bought some cold bluing chemical to make the steel look better, and these grips. What an improvement! The grips feel wonderful in the hand, and, now she has a completely new revolver. I feel much safer knowing that she has a gun that she can comfortably shoot and defend herself with. Those grips really help.

I got this Pachmayr Compac grip for an older model Rossi Model 68, .38 Special five shot with a three inch barrel. It originally came with a wood grip that was okay but small and my wife had a difficult time holding on to it especially firing Plus P loads in it. She has no problem shooting this revolver now and it is now her favorite hand gun. The grips are larger then the original wood grips, softer to hold with less felt recoil. The fit was near perfect with only a crack (open space) showing under the trigger guard. It made a world of difference in shooting this weapon and the grip definitely helped to give better accuracy when firing it. Yes, the grip is kind of "pricey" but worth the price since it works great and I couldn't find any other type grips for this older model revolver. If you have a Model 68 Rossi you will like this grip. Happy trails.....Read full review

I was easy to install, fit perfectly. Greatly increases your ability to hang onto the gun. My wife had trouble shooting the Rossi with the original grips, now she has no trouble at all.

This is a well-made product that seems to fit the model 461/462 well (which is a good thing because it seems to be the only aftermarket grip readily available), with minor adjustment. I don't know if it holds true in all cases but, there is a metal tension pin at the bottom of the grip frame that is used to secure the grips into place. On my 461, I had to file a small amount of material off of each side of the pin in order to get the front and bottom of the grips to close fully. By small amount I mean probably 1/16 of an inch on each side of the pin (this would not affect mounting the factory grips should you decide to return them to the gun), so this is a very minor adjustment. Once that was done the grip fits perfectly. I would highly recommend this grip.
