Well the heart transplant was successful and the patient lived. The last power supply was constantly spinning up and down the fan speed for months then it died. This one quiet easy to replace one plug at a time. This is in an old E machine which came with Windows NT. This will make second or third power supply. Looking forward to this being the last one working well into 2030. Hope I make it that long. Love the second fan to add more cooling (the other power supplies didn't have that).

This power supply is described as an upgrade to the previous ACER Aspire TC-220 power supply. It arrived from the USA with the voltage set correctly to 220V, and with an IEC mains cable terminated with an EU plug instead of a UK plug. A slight nuisance only, since these cables are easy to buy. I wired it up as the old PSU was wired, and the PC started up fine. The original power supply was very quiet - you did not know it was on. This replacement has a PSU fan running at full speed all the time, making a loud singing sound. It is not at all what I was expecting, and I would not recommend a power supply that sounds like this

My old Compaq crashed and it has over 20 years of valuable stuff on it. Most of my friends that have the same problem give up and dispose of their computers and lose their stuff. I did some old school trouble shooting and took a chance on the power supply. After a search I found the Apower AGS450 power supply for a great price. When it arrived it looked great and all wires were easy to ID and install by just carefully watching and checking all connections. It fired right up and has run like a charm every since. No I am not some techie type but am an old attorney. This is a GREAT product and easy to install and I recommend it to anyone who wants to resurrect and old beloved computer. Rex

The power supply fit perfectly and all the wires were correct. I was worried when I first turned on the computer after installation because I didn't know for sure that the power supply was my problem. It would not boot. A quick check revealed that I forgot to plug the power back into the hard drive - Duh!. The power supply really moves a lot of air and it is very noisy. I am tempted to clip some of the metal from the fan guard to see if it will quiet the rush of air but since I only use this PC occasionally I may just let it go. The power supply was well worth the cost just to find out that the PC is operational.

My only complaint is the fan is noisy. I could not even hear my old HP fan but with the new power supply it is very noticeable. I think this new one must be stronger, I now notice papers on bulletin board flapping in the wind. I must say shipping was prompt, no complaint there.
