I bought this book on a recommendation from a friend. He said it was a fairly quick read and entertaining. I found Coelho to be just ANOTHER South American writer overly fascinated with the world of prostition. Tidbits of the day-to-day life of a working girl are interspersed with the girl's useless ramblings on everything from the origin of life to the meaning of love. Her musings are mundane, not entertaining. And the majority of the book is just that--baseless, rambling musings.
I became a fan of Paulo Coelho several years ago after a friend recommended "The Alchemist". I've enjoyed so many of his novels and "Eleven Minutes" is one of my favorites.

After a few chapters, I gave up on it. Much too trashy.
