First, it's absolutely gorgeous. I'm pretty sure it's just a veneer... but it's still as eye-catching as it gets. The binding is red ceder (I think) and it's faintly reddish, with nice contrast to the rest of the body. Only think I don't like about this uke..? It is the tuners. They feel stiff. Other than that, it's very well made. I put in a strap button (I'm female and like my strap) and put a standard ukulele strap on it. I used a headstock holder for a guitar, did have to shorten it a bit. It's very easy to play. It almost feels like it takes very little force to fret these strings. It's easier to fret than my smaller ukuleles. I still have the stock Aquila strings on it. They sound nice, and hold their tuning well. This uke has a lovely low, rich tone. It's very 'guitar-ish' and is great for folk/St Pepper era Beatles or what have you.Read full review

I have had this ukulele for about a month. The ukulele is very beautiful, very light and sounds, rings pretty good. On the downside, one of the strings is already shredding and will need replaced immediately. It seems to not hold tune in the top or bottom string very well. Curios to see what new string do.
