I had an Anthem SL put in a Martin 000-15m. The guy who installed it did not shave the bridge enough to compensate for the pickup thickness. I sanded it and lowered the action......then I got greedy and tried to lower it some more without getting fret buzz. Went too much and got buzz. So I bought this saddle and got it perfect. It fit perfect and was easy to sand. The compensation looked just like my factory bridge. If you have a Martin w this drop in style saddle, it’s really easy to lower your action yourself.....and cheap enough to buy 2 and see how low you can get it without buzz with the first one and then use the 2nd one to get action perfect

This is a quality bone saddle at a very reasonable price. There was plenty of height so I could adjust for perfect action. Thickness and width took very minimal adjustment for a nice snug fit into the bridge slot. I've used other bone saddles that are almost twice the cost but, in my opinion, the quality of this saddle is just as good. I put this in my 2010 Martin Custom 000-15M and the intonation was dead on. Looks like I've found a new resource for upgrading my guitars.

Great fit and quality. Aligned with top of the original saddle and drew a line with a fine pencil. Then just worked it down to that line plus a little because I wanted to go just slightly lower than the original. Height and intonation are great now. Plus the tone and sustain seemed at least slightly improved. Also, I replaced plastic bridge pins with ebony.

This bone bridge saddle came with the intonation contours that match my Martin HD-28's original Tusq bridge saddle. It required a bit of sanding to fit the slot, and for the string height I prefer, but the sound improvement compared to the original Tusq bridge saddle is immense. The guitar now has much better bass response and clearer overtones; almost a different instrument.

Give this thing the "drop test" and you'll hear the difference between it and any composite material. This was a terrific replacement to the TUSQ saddle that came in my Martin Custom MMV. Good snug fit, just had to sand down to the desired height for the action. Really brings out the rich response of the Rosewood.
