This Olfa Rotary Cutter is an absolute blessing if you cut circles out of fabric for applique, to make yoyos, or for any other purpose. I used it with thin fabric and craft felt and it worked great with both. I would suggest using tape to hold small squares of fabric to your cutting mat. It took me a couple of times to learn the knack of holding onto the ratchet handle and turning it, but after that it was easy with both small and large circles. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube which also helped. I make a lot of yoyos to decorate doll hats and purses and making fabric flowers. This is so much easier than drawing a circle on fabric and trying to cut it out evenly with scissors, I will never do without this handy tool again. And no, I don't work for the company that makes them. Buying on eBay was a bargain compared to the retail price in local stores. I would never have paid the price they were asking unless I had at least a 60% off coupon. Read full review

I find that it would be beneficial to have three hand when cutting. The cutter seems to push the fabric a bit, but I still love it. I’m going to try using a sticky cutting mat next time. This is a tool that I highly recommend circles are almost perfect. Always keep the tool straight up for more accurate cutting.

Used this product to cut foam board into 2 inch circles for kids party centerpiece decorations. Saved me so much time and sanity compared to cutting by hand with exacto knife.

I think it will be a good tool but it will take some getting you to I am having a bit of trouble with the turning of it as I am left handed and it feels very awkward to turn so more practice is needed on my part
