Very good quality, metal construction and precise adjustment. Weight of pencile is exactly that i expected. Inside it four very smooth leads. Good balance. Robust, beautiful and unique.

My My, what extraordinary propelling/mechanical draughting pencils these are. I purchased two, a 0.3 and the 0.5. Fabulous engineering, outstanding quality, what's not to like. A google search for 'daves mechanical pencils' or 'the old geezer', they both have a far better set of reviews than I can make. I'll add just a few things that I think are worthy of mention. Firstly the knurled metal grip, it's way to smooth for my liking. I feel that I have to hold it just a little firmer than usual for a metal grip, but it's ok... just not a great grip for me. The pencils came factory loaded with six, yep, six HB leads. Nice one Mr Ohto. The emergency style eraser.... comes with a clearing pin!.. that's first rate Mr Ohto.. simply first rate stuff indeed. These pencils, the third generation of Super Promecha's, are a Tour De Force of engineering and quality. They certainly give a few manufacturers out there, a pause for thought I'd say.Read full review

The SUPER PROMECHA lies very good in hand and provides numerous ways to adjust the pencil. You can choose the length of the lead guide-pipe or the amount of lead dispensed on each press. This allows the pencil to be adjusted to the exact needs of the user. I use the adjustability of the lead guide-pipe to completely retract it when the pencil is not in use, to protect it from damage.

I like gadgets and this pencil has them. It gives you the ability to adjust how much of the support sleeve projects, how much lead is fed with each press of the plunger, whether to have or remove the pocket clip, and set the display of the type of lead installed. I enjoy this pencil very much and the delivery of it was swift.

This pencil is terrible. Don’t get me wrong, it feels nice in the hand and adjusting the pipe length and lead advance are both nice features. It’s still terrible. By the end of the first day, you will clamoring for a dull, dried-eraser, no brand, stubby wood pencil. The problem — every 5 seconds the lead breaks in the advancing mechanism ruining a good half inch of lead and making you look ridiculous for clicking away like a madman just to get some unbroken lead . . . which will then shortly be broken.
