I got this rellacement battery three months ago for my Samsung Galaxy 12.2" Tab Pro (SM-T900). I have had the tablet for about four years and although I could get the battery to last a few hours between charging by turning screen brightness way down (I generally don't like a very bright screen) I knew it was time for a new battery... or tablet. Installation of this battery was easy but I made sure to watch a few youtube videos about how to correctly open the case and install the battery. The plastic tool that is included to help pry the back cover off of the tablet wasn't very effective but I gently used a flat bladed screw driver to assist and I was successful with minimal marring of surfaces. After installing it I am very happy with battery life. On a lower screen brightness I can get many hours of service... somewhere around eight hours. Needless to say, I am vert pleased with the battery and it breathed new life into an old device. Now I can probably get a couole more years out of my tablet before I need to start looking for another.Read full review

Took lots of persuasion to get it in. The pictures shown is from an original but the one that arrived was far from it. It was too big to fit right I had to cut off some tabs and leave out some screws. It dies very fast about 3% in less than 5 minutes just like my very very used original battery.

I am a mechanically inclined Grandma, but not very tech savvy. When my tablet started acting up by shutting down after charging all night, blacking out half the screen and generally misbehaving, I did a bit of online sleuthing and discovered it was symptoms of a battery that had reached the maximum number of recharges - approximately 500 - and needed to be replaced. Yikes! The average cost at a repair shop is $200! A new (refurbished) tablet would be a bit over $600! I knew there had to be a cheaper alternative. I watched several vids on battery replacement and it appeared to be simple and straightforward so I took the plunge. Right off the bat I made a mistake. I bought a cheaper, knock-off battery that came with "all the tools needed" and instructions. Yeah. Right. The tools were a simple eye glasses repair kit and a little plastic pry bar that broke before prying off the back of the tablet. After gaining access by way of a butter knife and removing the old battery, I struggled to fit the replacement because the screw holes didn't line up. In a few places I ended up creating my own holes in the plastic mounting tabs! It was in, everything back in place and ... it didn't work. I took it apart, re-installed the knock-off and it didn't work. I gave up and resigned myself to buying a new tablet. Then I finally got smart and started looking for a "Samsung " branded battery. Eureka! I found this Samsung battery for the same cost as a knock-off! It arrived in TWO days! It went in so easily, all the screw holes lined right up. I did have to replace a damaged wiring ribbon, but that too, is a Samsung branded OEM part. Voila! I had my tablet back in perfect working order in under 20 minutes! No more black outs, no more being tethered to a wall socket, no more funky attitude! This OEM Samsung branded part was the exact answer to my problems and was so easy to install! If you are hesitating about approaching this repair because you aren't tech savvy, don't worry. Watch a video on replacing this battery and get yourself an eyeglasses repair kit from Walmart for 99 cents. Order this authorized, name branded, OEM battery and you will be back in business! My only words of caution are - make sure you do this repair on a tray or baking sheet so that you can keep track of those screws! They are TINY!!Read full review

The samsung tablet is very easily repairable and this battery is no exception. I had some difficulty lining up the tabs and screw holes as they seems to be needing 'stretched' but all worked well. The attachment wires were a slight bit too long and had to be pressed down more than the original battery. After replacement, the tablet booted fine and is charging normally.
