First Gear did an excellent job in the 1990's with their line of historical trucks in 1/34 scale. The International KB-8 was a medium duty truck produced from 1941 to 1949. It has a very dated look with bulbous fenders and free standing headlights and a hood which opened on each side. The KB-8 was a 20,000 to 26,000 lb GVW medium duty truck and was powered by an International Red Diamond 361 cu in six cylinder gasoline engine. First Gear very carefully reproduces the truck and First Gear offered the truck with several body styles. The stake bed as used for this NAPA truck was a very common truck bed. One criticism of the First Gear International KB is that they do not render the small parking lights alongside the radiator grille properly, instead of a small square white light they render it as two small chrome decorations. Otherwise the model detail is excellent.Read full review
