So this was basically my first purchase in the US as a student and I have to tell you the seller was really helpful. He's put up little flyers along with the device so that you understand the step by step process of how to set up the internet. Those steps saved us a cool 40 bucks since we were planning to get a twc service guy to come in and set it up for us. So quick note. This is a refurbished device. It had a few scratches and stuff but works really well giving us connectivity in the entire house. Meaning that the range is pretty good. We haven't had any problems with it so far.

Pays for itself in a few months of not having to rent from the cable company. It does not support the fastest speeds available, if using the cable company's device, but works well for me. You must call Tech Support for them to authorize your new modem but that process was quick and painless. The modem mounts on the wall, does not have to take up shelf space. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This is a good item, but the USB port does not work on this model. I am not talking about this particular item, but the model. If you don't plan to connect a device such a printer or a hard drive, you are not missing anything.

I got my order on the 19 ,August,2016. Then I called TWC ,my provider to set it up right away. It works well. But I could not get the Wi Fi. I took me for a while for this trouble shooting. Finally I found the included instruction paper and I got its password to put on and perfectly works to all my wireless computers. I wonder why there is NO LIGHT on THE POWER BUTTON. And I my 6th grader kid is complaining of slower internet than we had before. Anyway It works fine..

I have had 100% success buying refurbished electronics, and with this purchase, so far, so good. However, the instruction sheet was lacking one important step. The instructions for getting my modem registered with Cox went fine. The next step involved accessing the modem's wireless login screen to pick a new username and password. That went okay, too. "Setup is complete," so read the instructions. No, it wasn't. My operating system (Windows 7) had to be informed about the modem's name and access password, too, to connect my PC's HomeGroup Network to the modem. I found the link within "My HomeGroup" under Network Settings. Afterward, I was able to connect my PC to the web, and my other wireless devices--printer, Fire TV Stick, Fire tablet, smart phone, game system--were then connected to the modem in turn through their log-on screens. This is all likely elementary to anyone who has had to go through this process at least once, and this was my first time. My previous modem had not been password-protected.Read full review
