NAD C388 has exceeded my expectations. It drives Martin Logan electrostats effortlessly, which is what I was after. While that is a great accomplishment for small integrated, the benefits of this model don't stop there. Having built-in bluetooth and phono input is awesome. Added BluOS2i MDC module and with this combination, I don't know of another integrated (except NAD M32) with a better overall feature/performance package. I've looked, and regardless of budget, there simply isn't another streaming/integrated to compare to this unit. Denon w/HEOS have the features, but don't have the power - wish they did. The real magic happens with NAD's deep power reserve (head room), and when the MDC is added, there is a completely digital signal with streaming music, wifi, and native MQA unfolding. Since the BluOS2i is essentially a daughter board on the mainboard, there are no cables, no connectors, no male/female connections, no DA or AD conversions and re-conversions, etc. to allow noise and distortion - there is no question about having the best cables... because there are no interconnects! Even a cable geek will admit the best cable is always no cable at all - because cables cannot improve sound. Initial setup and firmware updates are a pain! Denon is so much easier and with on-screen menu system. But, once you get past that, NAD becomes the reliable brain, heart and lungs of the system. Note: I would have gotten the NAD M32, except it doesn't have speaker A/B, only bi-amp capability. If you want speaker A/B capability in this streamer/integrated form factor, the most power you can get is C388.Read full review

Excellent integrated amp. I’m extremely pleased with the quality of this amp. Functionality is well thought out. It sounds great paired with my JBL L112 speakers. I also saved $300 by purchasing from eBay. Couldn’t be happier!

It's energy efficient, produces an OK sound, has lots of power (it's one of the most powerful integrated amps I've seen sold). The control functions/setting aren't the most user-friendly. For ease of control, I prefer my Denon PMA-390, but the NAD C-388 has > 2X more power. I rated $ value as 'No' because it is expensive (at approximately $1400).
