Avoid at all costs! It grabs the chain link only in the center so when you push the pin through it pushes the back plate off bending it instead of removing it. Pin remains stuck. Maybe I'm using it wrong or using the wrong kind of chain (I'm using an ordinary bicycle chain), but no instructions are provided in the product description nor in the packaging and all YouTube videos I was able to find show the same disaster. If I am using the wrong chain, the description should specify exactly what chain it works on (instead of claiming it works on 415 420 428 520 530), and give some instructions. Terrible product, terrible description and no instructions.

It is a very awkward tool to use, but it gets the job done well. After you understand how it works, it is ok, but it doesn't lock on to the chain, so you have physically hold it to keep it aligned. Totally different than the chain breaker I had before

If you own a bike of any sorts, this should be in your tool box! Easy to use, seems to be built just fine in very handy!

For "heavy duty" it has very soft threads, which can strip easily if you back it out too far and need to realign. Doesn't line up well on #420 chain, nor does it grip well.
